The research group is a part of the Danish National Research Foundation Centre for Molecular Movies, located at the Nano-Science Centre at the University of Copenhagen. The Nano-Science Center includes state of the art infrastructure and expertise in semiconductor nanostructures, molecular and polymer electronics, synchrotron x-ray physics, carbon nanotubes, theory, supramolecular chemistry and self-assembly, organic synthesis and more.
The research of the Centre for Molecular Movies aims to obtain real time “pictures” of how atoms are moving while processes are taking place in molecules and solid materials, using ultrashort pulses of laser light and X-rays.
